My thoughts on what AIO should do next:
To all the dedicated fans who never miss an album, have heard every episode, -and are now older then 12, and out of the AIO target range (myself included). Some of the plots don't appeal to us like they used to, and we wish there were some episodes dedicated to us. What if AIO created another album like the Truth Chronicles, except this album should be targeting older listeners. With episodes on Ryan Cumming's back story, Barrett and Priscilla's relationship, Olivia Parker dealing with the death of a close friend, and a peek into the future of Odyssey. Maybe 9 episodes total.

Also, stay tuned, because the Shona Kennedy interview will be out later today!
Even though I'm only 11, I think that would be a good idea, I know a bunch of adults or teens that stopped listening, Because plots can be somewhat childish. (I don't see this but again I'm 11) And I think it would get older people to listen. :D Just a eleven year olds input.

I also think this is a good idea. I have been thinking about it for a while, especially since I have been writing fanfiction targeting an older audience. I think they should have some episodes focusing on Jason, perhaps a spinoff series based on his adventures.
ReplyDeleteI believe AIO has discussed this idea before--for whatever reason, I guess they decided it wouldn't work at the time. But hopefully it will happen in the future!
ReplyDeleteI agree! The album should say something on the cover about it being designated for like teens ( and 11 yr olds). It should talk and show briefly what teenage yrs are like and how we feel... But it should definately say something because somethings teens deal with may not be quite appropriatte for the younger crowd.
ReplyDeleteJust my thoughts....

I agree. I definitely think that the writers did fantastic on "Album 58: The ties that bind." They did an awesome job taking a more in-depth look at some of the characters lives while still leaving the simple humor and basic morals within the stories to appeal to both young and old. While I definitely think that some of the albums, even as many as Albums 1 through 50, were focused on the 8 to 12 age group, I believe that this has (for the most part) changed since album 51. Don't get me wrong, some of my favorite episodes were in some of the old(er) albums. However, I enjoy how the more recent ones have been more incorporated almost as if it is one long saga. With the death of (spoiler alert) Connie's mother in Album 57, they definitely touched a slightly more mature issue than they have touched in the past, in my opinion of course. Again, I am pleased with how the situation was handled and how we were able to get a little bit more of a glimpse of Connie's personal life. I can barely wait to hear how Album 59 will address that surprise at the end of Album 58 (I will say no more as to not ruin it for those who have not listened yet.) Oh yeah, this is all coming from a 15 year old fan by the way :)
